In the heart of Sardinia, surrounded by the greenery of this picturesque village at the foot of MontiFerru, the small Atiartisticu workshop in Narbolia is where tradition and innovation meet nature, creating precious works of art.
A workshop where through mastery and the art of working and carving soft stones, trachyte houses and other ornamental objects for the home are created, such as lamps, bowls, mirrors and more, along with silver inserts to be applied to the houses.
The workshop is currently a place of experimentation where tradition and innovation emerge through a blend of multiple craft techniques, giving life to an original and distinctive production.
It originally started as a goldsmith’s workshop creating modern-style silver and gold jewelry, enhanced by the crafting of gemstones and inspired by both Sardinian nature and Nuragic civilization.
Subsequently, the new artistic inspiration provided by trachyte houses has directed the workshop’s activity towards a deeper exploration of soft stone working, including various types of decorative objects.
Atiartisticu’s houses represent the perfect fusion of jewelry work with stone crafting in the creation of unique pieces of high artistic value.

Trachyte is an effusive magmatic rock used since ancient times in construction, as evidenced by the ruins of the Roman baths in Fordongianus. In Sardinia, during the Aragonese domination, numerous buildings were constructed using this material in areas near trachyte deposits. Among the most emblematic examples are the numerous churches and the so-called Aragonese Houses, characterized by elegant carvings on doorposts and lintels of doors and windows. In areas farther from extraction sites, such as Narbolia, walls were built using locally available stone, usually basalt, while doorposts and lintels were made of trachyte, as this stone was well-suited for carving, being relatively soft yet very durable.
The collection stands out for its unique series of Houses, refined decorative objects handcrafted in trachyte, enhanced with meticulously chiseled silver details. Each creation combines the solidity of volcanic stone with the elegance of metal, giving life to evocative miniatures of high aesthetic value.
Arranged side by side, these small sculptures recreate the enchanted atmosphere of a Sardinian rural village, where architectural and decorative elements – gates, windows, plants, animals, and human figures – emerge in silver details, telling everyday scenes suspended between reality and imagination.
