Atiartisticu

Stone, Art, Nature

In Loewe Leander Lukas’s Atiartisticu workshop, located in Narbolia in the heart of Sardinia, the art of goldsmithing meets trachyte, an evocative local volcanic stone. From this union, original creations are born, where material, artistic inspiration, and Mediterranean landscape blend into a unique language, capable of expressing the authentic beauty of the island.

The Trachyte

The coloring of Sardinian trachyte is highly varied: shades of gray, beige, light blue, green, red, and yellow. The color of trachyte varies depending on the extraction point, and within the same quarry, different colored zones can be found. For example, you might find red and green that can gradually blend or create more distinct transitions.
Trachyte is a widely distributed rock across the island, with one of the main extraction centers being Fordongianus, where red, green, light blue, and beige colorations are present. The yellow coloration is extracted in Asuni. Other extraction sites are scattered across the island, with one of the most famous being Bosa, although the quarries there, like most trachyte quarries in Sardinia, have not been operational for several years.
